He designed LKM’s Sittingbourne site to minimise impact upon the environment and is aware that this approach is not only a legal requirement but also the way forward for the recycling industry.

“Countries like Germany and Holland are way ahead of the UK in recycling and proving that this is where the future lies for both scrap and recycling businesses and their suppliers and customers.

Government legislation will offer new opportunities and expansion for those who make the most of this new trend, but will kill off those who ignore it.

We can both satisfy the desire of suppliers and customers to be ‘greener’ in the future and will continue to invest heavily in the best equipment and measures to achieve that.”
